[Pan's Labyrinth]
The original Spanish title refers to the mythological fauns of Roman mythology, while the English, German, and French titles refers specifically to the faun-like Greek character Pan. However, del Toro has stated that the faun in the film is not Pan.
タイトルにある「パン」とはギリシア神話の神の一種である牧羊神のこと、ちなみに原題の"fauno"はギリシア神話のパンに対応するローマ神話の神、ファウヌスの事である。ただし、当作品に登場する「パン」の造形には、同じく羊の角のある悪魔のイメージも組み込まれている。
